Recreation, AA

Would You Like to Help Others Enhance Their Quality of Life?

With a degree in recreation, you will help others find the best way to relax and slow down in today's fast-paced society. You will create programs, events and experiences to help serve and impact individual people and communities. While many of us are looking for opportunities to relax, have fun and meet others, you will be the one organizing, creating and implementing these opportunities.

This program will prepare you for a career in leisure services. Universities and four-year colleges offer a variety of leisure services programs including resort and commercial recreation, corporate and industrial recreation, fitness management, municipal and county recreation, therapeutic recreation, and teacher certification. Gulf Coast State College is committed to helping you build a solid foundation so that you'll be prepared when you transfer to a four-year institution.
