The counseling staff is experienced in working with students who face academic difficulty and can provide you with a personal, informal evaluation of your study skills. After this evaluation the counselors work with you to improve your skills to help you succeed throughout your academic career.
The focus of academic counseling is to provide you a learning centered environment by:
- Encouraging, guiding and coaching
- Providing technical assistance
- Nurturing commitments to your academic goals
- Clarifying your academic outcomes
The Counseling Center is provided to students at no cost and is here for you if you are in need of assistance. Faculty members can also play a vital role in helping you if your experiencing academic difficulty by referring you to the Counseling Center for academic support.
