Steps for Using LIGHTHOUSE

To login to Self Service LIGHTHOUSE:

  1. Click on “myGCSC” at the top of any page on this website.
  2. Then, enter your “User ID” in the User ID login area. This is your student ID number which begins: “A********”
  3. Select the Lighthouse icon and then "Login to Lighthouse"
  4. Now enter your User ID and PIN. Your initial PIN number is your six digit birthday (MMDDYY).
  5. Then click “Login”
  6. You will be required to change your PIN number the first time.

To register for classes:

  1. Click on “Student”
  2. Click on “Registration Menu”
  3. Select Term registering for
  4. Click on “Add/Drop classes”
  5. Click “Find CRN Number” to look up courses to add

To check for Financial Aid information:

  1. Click on "Financial Aid" tab
  2. Select "Financial Aid Status" to view any unsatisfied requirements or academic requirements
  3. Once Financial Aid has been awarded, award information can be viewed.

To view student Records:

  1. Click on “Student”
  2. Click on “Students Records”
  3. Under this feature you can see if you have any holds, view your final grades, view your GPA and view an unofficial copy of your transcript.

To view your Holds:

  1. Click on “Student”
  2. Click on “Student Records”
  3. Click “View Holds”

To Reset PIN:

  1. At the login screen enter your LIGHTHOUSE number “A********"
  2. Click on "Forgot PIN"
  3. Answer your challenge question, click "Submit Answer"
  4. Enter your new PIN and confirm

To Set a Challenge Question:

  1. Click on the "Personal Information" tab
  2. Click on the Change Security Question
  3. Enter the requested information
