Prerequisite: Successful completion of developmental courses, appropriate placement test scores or meet state exemption requirement. A graphing calculator is required. The TI-83/84 are the only allowable calculators for test days. If a student wishes to use any other calculator they must see their instructor in advance for approval. Topics include summarization of data, probability, probability distributions, normal distribution, sample mean and standard deviation, statistical estimation, testing hypotheses, chi-square distributions, linear correlation, and regression, and non-parametric statistics.

Statistical Applications In Social Sciences I
Prerequisite: Satisfactory score on math placement test or a minimum grade of "C" in MAT1033. An introductory course which includes probability distributions, hypothesis testing, confidence interval estimation, correlation, analysis of variance, and regression.
