CCNE TO CONDUCT RE-ACCREDITATION VISIT FOR RN to BSN PROGRAM AT GULF COAST STATE COLLEGE

In fall 2019, Gulf Coast State College will seek continuing national accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education for the Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN program). CCNE, which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, will perform an on-site evaluation of our programs on October 16 through 18, 2019. As a member of the College’s constituency and community of interest, we invite you to submit comments to CCNE at the address provided below.

We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to comment upon the programs’ achievements related to accreditation standards. CCNE shares third-party comments with members of the evaluation team prior to the visit, but at no time during the visit and review process are the comments shared with the site. Having a continuous quality improvement approach, the CCNE evaluates the effectiveness and quality of nursing programs based on standards related to the following four areas:

  1. Mission And Governance
  2. Institutional Commitment And Resources
  3. Curriculum & Teaching-Learning Practices
  4. Assessment & Achievement of Program Outcomes
