Public Safety Hall of Fame Induction
As part of Gulf Coast State College’s unending support for our men and women in public safety, we are dedicating a portion of the North Bay Campus to those whom have excelled in serving their communities. In doing so, we have created a Public Safety Hall of Fame which is scheduled to be completed in April 2018. The purpose of this Hall is not just for those who made the ultimate sacrifice, but also to honor those who have gone above and beyond in their service. Having been in law enforcement for the last 14 years, I have a keen appreciation for the various agencies that make our communities safe. As such, we have dedicated individual recognition for the following public safety professions:
Communications
Corrections
Fire and EMS
Law Enforcement
We will induct 1 to 2 people per category each year, but the first year we have not set a limit on the number of inductees. I am asking that you nominate as many of those under your command as you wish for review by our committee. If approved, each member along with the appropriate command staff, will be invited to the induction ceremony scheduled in April of each year. Additionally, the respective agency and the employee selected will receive a plaque identical to the one in the Hall for display at their agency and/or home.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Respectfully,
Daryl White
