Student Clubs and Organizations

Connect with others through a GC Student Club or Organization

Right now, a new best friend, an employer, a future business partner, or even a future spouse, could be playing intramurals, studying in the library, or working on a project in a lab. You may meet in class, but your chances of meeting increase dramatically when you get involved with a club or organization at Gulf Coast State College.

Participation in a club or organization:

  • builds your career network
  • expands your social circle
  • increases your leadership skills
  • looks great on your resume
  • makes college an entertaining and pleasant experience

With more than 5,000 students enrolled on Gulf Coast’s four campuses, you will be able to connect with like-minded people during your academic career.  If you don’t see a club or organization that interests you, start one!  As the saying goes, “If you build it, they will come.” For more information, please stop by the SGA office located in the McSpadden Student Union East Cafeteria on the Panama City Campus. You can also email Donna Peterson or call 850-769-1551 ext. 3868 to help answer your questions.

It works to educate both its members and the community on the issues faced by LGBTQ+ students; and to combat the presence of intolerance in our society through the promotion of equality, understanding, and acceptance.

Model United Nations (Model UN) is an academic simulation where students step into the shoes of ambassadors from U.N. member states and try to develop solutions to world problems. Student “delegates” research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, prepare draft resolutions, debate, plot strategy, negotiate with supporters and adversaries, and learn a simplified version of the parliamentary procedures used in the real United Nations, all with the goal of mobilizing “international cooperation” to resolve problems that affect almost every country on Earth.
