Social Sciences Division

People.  No matter what educational, career, or personal goals you pursue, understanding people is necessary for success. The Social Sciences Division at Gulf Coast State College has a wide variety of AA University Transfer Tracks & programs that can take you where you want to go at a lower cost and help you better understand the world around you.

 Our Social Sciences Division offers rewarding and in-demand AA degrees, AS degrees, and certificates in areas such as:

  • Behavioral Sciences - Anthropology/Archaeology, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work
  • Education - Provides the first two years of baccalaureate program in teacher education from early childhood to secondary education. Choose your subject area from over a dozen programs.
  • Government & History - History or Political Science
  • Humanities - Philosophy or Religion
Gulf Coast State College's Social Sciences Division is located in the Social Sciences Building on the Panama City, Florida campus.
