Welcome to the Gulf Coast State College Testing Center. We are committed to providing excellent  service to our students, faculty and community while ensuring the integrity of testing in a secure environment. Whether you are aiming to further your education, enter the workforce or advance your current career, the Gulf Coast State College Testing Center offers a broad array of services to meet your needs.

Our Mission:

The Gulf Coast State College Testing Center supports the educational mission of Gulf Coast State College by providing high-quality testing and assessment services for students. In addition, the Gulf Coast State College Testing Center strives to reach out to the community by providing testing and assessment services to organizations and individuals.

The Gulf Coast State College Testing Center is committed to creating a secure and optimal testing environment that promotes responsible ethical and equitable practices within an environment of continuous quality improvement by:

• adhering to the regulations and guidelines established by the National College Testing Association (NCTA), Florida Association of College Test Administrators (FACTA), testing companies and faculty;
• maintaining highest compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations regarding the confidentiality of test candidate information and records;
• offering collaborative and courteous service to students, faculty, staff, and community.

Hours of Operation

Normal Testing Center hours at the Panama City Campus are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m.  and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.   Hours may vary during the year, call 850-769-1551 ext 5807 for more information.

*Please note if the college is closed, then the Testing Center will also be closed.

Online Test Proctoring

Proctored tests/assignments for your GCSC online classes can be taken free of charge at any one of GCSC Testing Centers (see below for more information on the different campuses). Some courses/professors  use the testing software Respondus Monitor. Respondus Monitor is a test proctoring solution that must be used in conjunction with Respondus Lockdown Browser and allows you to take proctored exams using a web-camera and a microphone from anywhere. Talk to your professor about this option. This special browser is available for both Windows PC operating systems and Apple MacOS operating systems. NOTE: Respondus Lockdown Browser is not compatible with Chrome Books running the Chrome operating system.

If you choose to take your proctored test(s) at an external non-GCSC site, you will be responsible for finding a suitable proctor (an employee of an educational institution like a college, library, public school, etc.) and any additional fees by the proctoring institution. The GCSC Testing Center will not be responsible for providing refunds, under any circumstances, for those using off-Campus proctoring sites.

The Gulf Coast State College Testing Center for the Panama City campus is located in the Student Union West Building, Rooms 80.
