Chemistry Education, A.A.

Are You Passionate About Chemistry?

Are you interested in chemistry and chemistry experiments/reactions?  Do you like the outdoors, plants, animals, and other organisms?  Do you have an interest in electricity, force, gravity, and optics?  Have you ever wanted to share your passion of the sciences with young people?  If so, Gulf Coast State College can prepare you for a career in science education.

For a career in science education, you need to earn your bachelor’s degree and an associate’s degree can begin your path to success. In this transfer track program, students can select from 2 areas of concentration:  Chemistry and Biology or Physics.  Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, Florida has some of the lowest tuition rates in the state, but provides high-quality education. Starting with a two-year degree in Gulf Coast’s Science Education Chemistry Component AA University Transfer Track helps you save money on your overall education costs and prepares you for success at a top university in Florida.

Science educators are in high demand!  And, they have a dynamic career engaging young people in the various science disciplines.  In this career, educators have the opportunity to explore chemical reactions of various materials, examine the flora and fauna of an ecosystem, and design projects using force, gravity, electricity, and light.  According the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median salary for a science educator was over $58,000 in 2014!
