Health Education, AA

Do you Want to Teach and Promote Positive Health?

If you like helping others and want to share the importance of health through education, a career in health education may be what you're looking for. As a health educator you can work in a variety of health related fields such as health management, counseling, nutrition and community health.

Obtaining a four-year degree will lead to certification in teaching health education, and Gulf Coast State College is here to help you build a solid foundation that will prepare you to continue your studies by offering the necessary prerequisites for the state of Florida university baccalaureate programs. You are encouraged to be familiar with the admissions requirements at the university you plan to attend as they may have additional requirements for admission to a teacher‐preparatory program.

The state of Florida requires a thorough background check by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement prior to students entering the classroom for observations. The College requires the submission of written verification of approved and completed background checks before students may complete on‐site course requirements.
