Students can receive assistance with logging on or navigating My Student Dashboard, Canvas, Respondus, Zoom, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Although some features of Canvas can be accessed from a tablet or mobile device (Chromebook, iPad, Android tablet, cell phone, etc.), a reliable computer and Internet connection are necessary for you to complete the majority of your Canvas coursework.

It is important that students have the most current operating systems and browsers installed on their devices in order for any additional software (Zoom, Respondus Lockdown Browser, etc.) to function properly. For assistance, contact the GCSC Information Technology Services (ITS) at 850-913-3303.

Printing can be done on campus in computer labs and the library using the Papercut system.

AVAILABLE TECHNOLOGY

Taking proctored tests and assignments for your online classes is an important part of ensuring academic integrity. Many online courses use Respondus Monitor with Respondus Lockdown Browser to allow you to take proctored exams remotely. If necessary, you can utilize the GCSC Testing Centers for free. Please note that while GCSC Testing Centers offer this service without charge, other testing centers may impose a proctoring fee which is not reimbursed by GCSC. Your professor will specify the type of testing required for each class. If you have any concerns or questions about proctored exams, feel free to reach out to the GCSC Testing Center for support.
