Education Encore is offered by Continuing Education at Gulf Coast State College and provides non-credit enrichment education classes on a variety of topics for active and senior adults. The learning environment is fun and stress-free while offering diversity, insight, and wisdom.

Participants may also come to Enrollment Services in the Administration Building at the Panama City Campus to register in-person.
Health & Safety Information
The College is committed to the safety of all students, faculty and staff and continues to follow guidelines provided by the CDC and health officials. Students, employees and visitors will be required to wear face coverings while inside College facilities. Individuals are encouraged to bring their own reusable face coverings. Reusable masks will be available for purchase in the GCSC Bookstore. Additionally, safety protocols are in place if an employee or student is exposed to or contracts COVID-19.
The College has also taken additional precautionary safety measures including: installing Plexiglas shields in high traffic areas; distributing reusable masks to full-time employees; fogging classrooms, labs and public spaces with disinfectant; equipping classrooms with disinfectant wipes; and nightly facilities crews for extra cleaning.
- Participants will not be permitted to change class selections once the registration has been processed.
- Classes will consist of a limited number of students to ensure social distancing can be maintained.
- Face masks are required while in any college facility.
- If there is a notice that Education Encore cannot occur due to a Governor's order, a prorated refund will be provided.
- To reduce the opportunity for large social gatherings, Lunch & Learns will not be offered during the Fall session.
A full refund is available for participants who send an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org by 12:00 pm five workdays prior to the first day of class. After this date, refunds will not be granted. GCSC reserves the right to cancel courses and/or the program due to insufficient enrollment.

The Wellness Center
The Wellness Center includes a pool, a hydro-therapy pool and a fully-equipped weight and fitness room. Please check availability for the facilities. Use of the facilities is for students enrolled in classes during the current term of use. (Please note that you will need to present your student I.D.)
Browse through the large selection of supplies, textbooks and campus must-haves. The bookstore also offers official Gulf Coast State College apparel and Commodores merchandise.
The College library provides research materials including more than 80,000 books, 900 journal subscriptions, and Internet access.
Enjoy watching the Commodores take on the competition in baseball, basketball, softball, and volleyball. No matter what your favorite sport, the games are sure to be tons of fun.
Amelia G. Tapper Center For The Arts
See some of Gulf Coast State College's most talented students performing on the Amelia Center Main Stage. The Visual & Performing Arts Division sponsors several theatre and concert events each semester. As an Encore participant, you may attend many of these events free of charge or at a discounted rate.
Who can participate?
Education Encore is for adults. You are not required to have Florida residency.
When is it offered?
Education Encore is offered during the fall and spring semesters. Classes in each semester meet once a week for six consecutive Fridays at the Panama City campus .
How do I register online?
Follow instructions on pages 13 of the Education Encore spring catalog.
What is the cost?
The fee for participants is $100 for the six-week program, which includes four classes each Friday.
Where are the classes held?
Each course description includes the abbreviated classroom location. If needed, participants will receive class location changes in their email prior to the first day of class.
Where will I get a class schedule and other information about upcoming Education Encore?
Information will be emailed to you in the registration confirmation email you receive after submitting your registration.
