Becoming a college student is a major step toward your future, and deciding on a major can feel like a huge decision. Fortunately, we’ve designed an individualized advising program that will help you every step of the way. With 12 unique degree pathways and continuous support once you’ve found the program that interests you most, you’ll have all the resources and tools to excel both academically and professionally at GCSC.

As a student in the STEM programs pathway, you’ll have access to a dedicated Pathway Navigator who will help you settle into campus. As an experienced professional in the STEM field, your Pathway Navigator will also help you understand each degree option in the STEM programs list and find the one that is best suited for you and your goals. Your STEM program Pathway Navigator will also help you find related or alternative pathways at any time if you decide that your degree pathway isn’t right for you.

Choose your path.

Once you’ve looked at all the degree options in the STEM programs list, you can then narrow your search to think about whether you want an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) degree. If you’re interested in going on to a bachelor’s degree program, earning an AA in one of our STEM programs will give you a head start by completing the first two years and counting toward some major requirements. If, on the other hand, you want to find a job right away, earning an AS degree will prepare you for the job market and entry position you are interested in. Whatever your goal is, our STEM programs list is filled with courses and degree programs that will set you up for success.

When you earn a degree from one of Gulf Coast’s STEM programs, you lay the foundation for a lifetime of excellence and opportunity. Graduating with your associate’s degree from GCSC can open the door to a wide variety of paths—including bachelor’s programs and careers around the world. Students from our STEM programs pathway have gone on to study at the University of Florida, Florida State University, and the University of Central Florida.
